Inspiration Week - Day 3 - Doireann Garrihy

Today is Day 3 of our Inspirational Week and for today we have chosen the hilarious Doireann Garrihy! Hope you enjoy xx
Doireann is the co-presenter on Zoo Crew on radio station Spin1038 and she is also a blogger/impressionist. She was going to follow in her older sisters’ footsteps by becoming an actress, but she couldn’t deal with sitting around waiting for a job cause she just has so much energy that she couldn’t leave her career and future in someone else’s hands. She got a job as a researcher and broadcaster on AARoadwatch, which she enjoyed even though she never thought of doing radio. In May 2016, Doireann joined Spin1038 and became a presenter on the ‘Zoo Crew’ with Martin Guilfoyle who she has become close friends with through her job, always messing and laughing (which we see daily on her snapchat! )
What really got peoples attention to Dioreann was her impressions on famous Irish women like Pippa O’Connor, Saoirse Ronan, Maura Derrane and Dr Eva. Her snapchats are honestly so funny with her Irish sayings, to her dancing in her bedroom mirror and doing jigs on windowsills in hotels she’s been to, she is such a positive and genuine person who you just got to love.
She has won many awards such as ‘Most stylist Influencer’ at VIP Awards, ‘Rising Star’ at U magazines 30 under 30 Awards and at the Gossies last weekend winning an award with her co-host/best friend Martin Guilfoyle for ‘Best Radio Show’, which she was hosting that night because she won award last year for ‘Best Snapchat Star’. ( imagine having that many rewards for doing what we all do best…being on our phones😂) Doesn’t stop their either, she released a show recently on RTE Player, where she does impressions of people like Katie Taylor, Sharon Ni Bheolain, Amy Huberman and Una Healy.
She just such great fun to watch on her social medias and when you feel like crap you can always rely on this woman to cheer you up in no time! She shows that anyone can accomplish anything in very short time if you put in the effort and time and just be yourself.
